I think it’s definitely safe to say that the Christmas season is officially completely upon us. Lights have been hung, dinner plans have been made and presents are being bought and wrapped, even as I type.
The magic of Christmas is something that, as parents, Nathan and I cherish. Making each Christmas special in Abby’s memory is always a priority for us, and that’s why we have adopted certain traditions over the last seven years, including the Christmas train, family dinners, the decorating of the tree together and, of course, our yearly visit with Santa.
When I was approached by Lougheed Town Centre representatives who were aiming to bring tidings of great joy this holiday season, I had to say that I was impressed. It seems that Santa and his elves are taking things to a new level this Christmas. If you were to ask any parent what the biggest drawback is to getting pictures with Santa each year, I think almost all of us would say that waiting in line is the pits. That’s why Mrs. Claus offered some innovative perks this year. For one thing, Lougheed Town Centre has introduced an exclusive Santa paging system; just provide your name at the workshop and you’ll be paged when it’s your turn.
And while we’re on the topic of pesky problems surrounding the tradition of Santa Pictures, let’s all be frank about this one; with multiple grandparents and aunts and uncles, the pictures can get pricey. Mrs. Claus wanted to give us all a break by offering free 5×7 photos every Monday from now until Dec 23. Of course, if you’re like me… you may not even realize how little time is left; this is an opportunity that you’re going t need to jump on!
But here’s the best part, if you ask me. The kind folk from the North Pole, and Lougheed Town Centre, were willing to give me, and one of my wonderful readers, the chance to have a very special meet and greet with Jolly Old St. Nick himself. This VIP experience would mean skipping the line and taking home your very own 5×7 photo, with no charge to you. I don’t know a single child who wouldn’t LOVE to have the opportunity to receive this very special Christmas treat.
If you and your little one (or ones) would like the opportunity to skip the line and meet up with Santa, please enter in the comments below by telling me what your kid (or kids) are asking for from Santa this year!
This contest will be open until Saturday, December 14th, allowing you enough time to organize your meet and greet if you’re the lucky winner.
