I know that I talk about Disney and Pixar a lot of the time, in fact, when it comes to the news that I share having to do with movies? It’s almost always about films made by these companies. I mentioned last week that we were incredibly lucky to be able to check out a screening of the great new movie Brave, which I loved with all my heart and can’t wait to see again. When we were at the theatre for Brave, we caught a trailer for a couple other great looking films that are set to come out in the near and distant future.

One of the previews that literally made me giggle out loud was one for the upcoming prequel to Monsters Inc, Monsters University. I might be a little biased because I LOVE the returning voice talents of John Goodman and Billy Crystal, as well as the character development we saw through the first Monsters movie. Still, watching the preview for this one I was in absolute stitches. I think the first thing I said when I leaned over to Nathan was, “We’re seeing that.”

I know it’s super early to start amping up our excitement for this movie, since it comes out in June of 2013, but I am already completely and totally excited to find out what our lovable friends Mike and Sulley were like in University. As it turns out, the two weren’t always the best of friends, but instead got off to a pretty rocky start.
The cast stands to be incredible, as always with Pixar features with such big names as Steve Buscemi and Dave Foley. It’s another film that I’m absolutely sure we’ll be seeing as a family in theatres.
