There are beach people and then there are…. non-beach people.
I don’t go to the beach often, but when I do go? I always enjoy myself. To be honest… I’m kind of the type of person to head to the beach more willingly in the off season. Because while I enjoy the sand and the sun to a point, I prefer the quiet of a secluded beach off a forest trail more.

When we were on Vancouver Island, Abby and I accompanied friends out to the beach in Parksville where we spent a few hours hanging out in the ocean. The water was unbelievably warm and the wind kept us from being too hot, though all of us could have stood to reapply our sunscreen a bit more than we did.

Hey… we’re Canadian. We don’t know how to do this whole summer thing very well.
